Captured at a mountain house in Asheville, North Carolina, this intimate recording of a Yamaha U1 upright piano with felt brings a warm, delicate, and expressive sound that adds a unique character and depth to any live or studio project.

Recorded with 4 microphones using an Apollo 8p:
Two SE 8's wide, and a pair of AKG C414's in the middle in a XY configuration.Extensive Recording Session:
6 different velocities, with 2 versions. With pedal down, and pedal up. For a total of 12 different playing layers. Piano noises like sustain pedal and hammers were also captured in separate layers to enrich the feel when playing.Authentic Ambience:
You might hear the occasional light background noise. You might hear occasional room ambience characteristics in the background, due to the nature of being recorded in this setting.Seamless Integration:
Perfectly programmed for native use in Ableton, offering a true-to-life piano experience without the need for any additional 3rd party plugins.
